Welcome to Ithaca, NY!  Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, "Ithaca is Gorges" no matter the season.  Explore the beauty of the outdoors in Ithaca. Spend a sunny day touring one of the many waterfalls and gorges formed thousands of years ago during the ice age or relax on the Finger Lakes' largest lake, Cayuga Lake. You'll find over 28,000 acres of public New York State forest ripe for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring.  The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail has you touring, tasting, and toasting your way through the nation's first organized wine trail, sampling wine, beer, cider and spirits along the way.  At the end of the day, rest your head in one of the welcoming Ithaca hotels or charming bed and breakfasts, from luxury to family friendly.

Now part of the Wine, Water & Wonders collaboration, Ithaca is the perfect addition to any upstate New York itinerary.  Ithaca is a great hub and spoke destination to explore the rest of the large Finger Lakes Region.  Less than 2 hours' drive takes you to area attractions like the Corning Museum of Glass, MacKenzie Childs, Watkins Glen State Park, Destiny USA, NY Kitchen, and many wineries, breweries, and beautiful scenery along the way.

Ithaca is home to the tallest singe drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains.  The 215 ft cascade of Taughannock Falls is 3 stories taller than Niagara Falls.  Offering year-round experiences from winter adventures, downtown festivals and concerts throughout the year, and beautiful ranges of color during fall foliage season, all are accompanied by the quirky vibe that is just so "Ithaca".

You can't put your finger on it, but there's something special going on here. The bumper stickers say "Ithaca is Gorges," but it's more than that. Ithaca is beautiful, smart and always unexpected. It's intense and laid-back and disdainful of convention. Ithaca is Ithaca. There's a vibe here unlike anywhere else in America. And experiencing it is the only way to discover it. Visit soon and discover Ithaca for yourself!
